1)Preliminary judgment
Firstly, inquire with the driver about the fault phenomenon and under what circumstances it may occur, then confirm the fault phenomenon and read the fault code;
No components should be replaced before the corresponding inspection procedures are carried out.
2)Read fault codes
Using a diagnostic instrument to diagnose the fault code alone;
If multiple fault codes appear simultaneously and it is unclear whether these fault codes are related to the fault phenomenon, follow the following steps: read fault codes → record fault codes → clear fault codes → read fault codes → record fault codes (analyze the relationship between faults and phenomena)
3) Diagnose step by step
Check and analyze each fault characteristic, and do not disassemble or replace any components until the cause is identified;
Most fault codes can only indicate a fault in a certain subsystem or component, and cannot specify the specific cause of the fault. For example, if the SCR system fails to build pressure, it should be investigated step by step from simple to difficult. First, the circuit and urea pipeline should be investigated, followed by components such as the urea tank filter screen and the urea pump filter screen, and finally, the urea pump and other assembly components should be considered.
